A NOTE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
We have had such a great holiday season and really appreciate all of the kindness shown from our families at Xplor! As we move into the New Year, we are going to extend that focus on kindness with our MLK activities, National Hug Day, and into February at Valentine’s Day! In addition, you will notice a wintry mix moving into our dramatic play centers as we focus on cold weather and snowy fun! Please take time to check out the fun that we are having in dramatic play this month. As we focus on the change of seasons, we want to remind everybody to stay prepared for the cold weather with lots of outerwear. Don’t forget to replenish your child’s extra clothes with seasonally appropriate items. Thank you for ringing in the New Year with us, we look forward to a wonderful 2018 with your family!

Parents’ Night Out Double Date Night
We encourage you to spread the love on 1/5/17 for a Double Date Night of Parents’ Night Out! Have friends with kids? Have them sign up to come and you will receive 1/2 off your Parents’ Night Out! Parent’s Night Out Lasts from 6:30PM-10:30PM, and the price $30 for the first child in your family, and $15 for each additional child in your family. Please sign up at the front desk no later than Wednesday, January 3rd. We must have at least five children attending in order to host.
Martin Luther King Day, January 15th
Help us increase kindness the week of January 15th! As we commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King, we will encourage children in Random Acts of Kindess. We will be spreading kindness rocks throughout the school/playground, and will be creating a kindness tree.
Little Caesar’s Fundraiser January 15th-26th
This January we will be selling Little Casear’s pizza kits! These kits are perfect for those busy days that you just don’t want to cook! Everything you need will be complete in the kit to make your favorite pizza!
Open House, Saturday January 20th
We will be having SNOW MUCH FUN at our Open House on January 20th! We hope you will join us as we have a fun-filled, snow-themed day! Please stop by from 10-1 to enjoy the festivities!
National Hugging Day, Monday, January 22nd
Free Hugs?!? We’ve got plenty to share! Stop by our hug photo booth on Monday the 22nd to capture some cute pics with your kid(s)!
Groundhog Day, Friday, February 2nd
Don’t forget to cast your vote for Groundhog Day! Will he see his shadow this year? Let us know what you think the week of January 29th. We will post our predictions and outcomes on Friday, February 2nd.
Superbowl Tailgate, Friday, February 2nd
Celebrate the Super Bowl on Friday the 2nd by dressing your child in his/her favorite football gear! Don’t forget your tailgate Take Home Treat on Feb. 2nd!

We will be tweaking our menu this month! Is there something you’d really like to see on the menu, or something you want to see more of? Let us know! We’d love your feedback! We are looking to add more fresh fruits/vegetables, as well as additional proteins with afternoon snack.
Professional Development Day – Xplor Preschool CLOSED on Monday, February 19th
We will be having our annual staff training/work day on President’s Day, and will not be providing care for children in Infants through Pre-K. This means you will need to make alternative arrangements for childcare on this day. We will, however, be providing care for elementary aged children that day.
CPR & 1st Aide Classes
Interested in a CPR class? Did you know that HopeCPR hosts a class at Xplor every month?!? January’s class will be hosted on Thursday, 1/18/18, at 6:30pm. Want to sign up? Just notify Nicole or Evelyn at the front desk!
Inclement Weather
Xplor does not typically close for inclement weather. However, in the case that the decision is made to close or have a delayed opening, parents will be notified via Links2Home and email using the Tadpoles application.

Please join us in welcoming Jonathan Lopez to our team at Xplor! Jonathan has been a great asset to our School Age and Pre-K programs, and we really love the kindness that he shows towards the children. He is very patient and always ready to play! If you see him around, please be sure to welcome him to our Xplor family!
